The sending of identical and/or irrelevent posts to newsgroups or mailing lists. This posting is usually something that has nothing to do with either the particular topic of the newsgroup or mailing or is of no real interest to the people on the newsgroup or mailing list. The name comes from a Monty Python song and is considered to be a serious violation of netiquette.
